Install the LarePass browser extension
Install the LarePass browser extension to use Olares features while browsing, including webpage translation, password autofill, and saving online content.
Prerequisites
- Install Google Chrome on your computer.
- Make sure you have an existing Olares ID. If you do not have one, create an Olares ID first.
Download the extension
- Open the LarePass website.
- Find LarePass for Chrome Extension, then click Download.
- Move the downloaded ZIP package to a folder where you plan to keep it, then continue with the installation.
Keep the installation files in place
Chrome continues to use the files from their location during installation. After installing LarePass, do not move, rename, or delete the ZIP package. If you use Load unpacked, do not move, rename, or delete the unzipped folder either.
Install and enable the extension
You can drag the ZIP package into Chrome for the quickest installation. If drag-and-drop does not work, unzip the package and load the folder instead.
Drag and drop the ZIP package
- In the Chrome address bar, enter
chrome://extensions/. - Turn on Developer mode in the upper-right corner.
- Drag the downloaded ZIP package onto the extensions page.
- Confirm that LarePass appears on the extensions page and is enabled. Keep the ZIP package in its current location.
Load the unpacked extension
Use this method if you cannot install the ZIP package by dragging it into Chrome.
- Unzip the downloaded package without moving the ZIP package. Keep the unzipped folder in a permanent location as well.
- On the
chrome://extensions/page, turn on Developer mode. - Click Load unpacked.
- Select the unzipped folder that contains the extension files.
- Confirm that LarePass appears on the extensions page and is enabled.
Pin the extension
- Click the extensions icon in the Chrome toolbar.
- Find LarePass, then click the pin icon.
- Click the LarePass icon in the toolbar and confirm that the extension opens.
