a key that unlocks the result.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In our giveaway, this key number, or the &#8220;seed&#8221;, is <strong>the total amount<\/strong> raised on Kickstarter at the end of the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How we pick the winners<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After the event ends, we do the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"1\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Take the <strong>seed<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Take the <strong>total number of backers<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Use a simple computer program to:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Create a list of all Backer IDs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Shuffle this list using the seed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pick <strong>10 unique Backer IDs<\/strong> as winners.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you want to verify the result yourself, you can use the Python code below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div
